MLB Cashes In With New ESPN Deal

Cable and satellite television bills will no doubt go up in the years ahead, as ESPN is paying huge money for baseball broadcast rights.    The deal will double the amount of money Major League Baseball receives from the top sports network, with the liklihood that ESPN will pass along those costs in the future to pay television subscribers.

HDNet Will Be Rebranded as AXS TV

Chicago Cubs fans across the nation have to be happy with the news from DISH Network; WGN America has been upgraded to HD.The agreement will allow customers who subscribe to America’s Top 200 HD package and higher to begin receiving WGN America on channel 239 HD. VOOM HD Fires Back at DISH Network

Voom Network fired back at DISH Network this week, filing an amended complaint against the satellite television operator.The complaint, filed in New York, alleges Voom HD will suffer $1 billion in damages due to the sudden removal of all 15 VOOM channels off of DISH Network last month.  The amendment was latched on to a previous suit filed in January.DISH Network had no comment on the suit, in which VOOM basically claims a breach-of-contract.
